Carole Sylvan – Songs about gratitude and love

Sometimes the most beautiful music comes to your attention by chance. The new EP Something Goin` On by Carole Sylvan is one of these coincidences. The musician is certainly no stranger to fans of soul & blues and you can look forward to a few concerts in the USA this summer.

The four tracks on the EP testify to the musician’s deep rootedness in faith in God. Gratitude, love and trust in oneself are the themes of the songs. The arrangements are full-toned and reminiscent of classic gospel and old soul.

With Savin’up for your Love, Carol Sylvan opens this mini-album with organ, guitars and brass. Something Going’On and Show Me are a little quieter in sound, but no less well let the band sound again. In You Can Make It If You Try, we again find the energetic melodies that will sweep us off our feet when they are played live.

Carole Sylvan is a multi-award winning musician who is particularly active in recordings of well-known stars. She has worked for many international stars. These include C&C Music Factory, Aaron Neville, Toni Braxton, Pet Shop Boys, Simply Red, Lionel Richie, Ben E King, Dan Aykroyd, The Weather Girls, Brandy, Gloria Lynn, Natalie Cole or Patti LaBelle.

With remixes of songs like “Just Doin,What We Love,” she was represented in the Billboard charts and thus on numerous dance floors. In her album Love (2021), as well as in the current EP, she already showed that her strength lies in blues and soul.

“My talent is a gift, a blessing from the Creator. Like all gifts from the Almighty they are meant to be shared and passed on. If one person enjoys what I’m doing, then I feel I have accomplished something”, Carole Sylvan tells about herself and her music. She has already convinced us and therefore we are happy to pass on her music as a tip here.
